Cool

During the entire month of April, I'm participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge. The alphabet will be my motivation, though the content of the posts will be very similar to what regular readers are used to. Check out the link for more amazing bloggers, and enjoy April!

I'm taking a break from the quotes and photos today. If you're not familiar with 'The Guild' you're missing out if you've ever gotten sucked into any sort of fandom at all.

And this was on repeat for me all day yesterday. Not a bad song to write to for a Monday, given the attitude I want my new story to have. Go buy the single (iTunes or Rhapsody, and no I don't get a referral fee for that)

Grammy said...: Hi, I'm not sure I get it...Are the musicians the ones that got bullied while in school? Are they the same people (only older) that were going through all the agonies? I am almost 80 and I just don't get kids treating each other that way. It seems as though being young these days has gone sour and nobody treats anyone different than themselves with any respect.
The song left me feeling really bad.

Rena said...: I love the Guild. And I viewed it as a nerd revolution, something that happens to some HS nerds once they reach a certain age. Nerds peak later in life and then they finally get to celebrate it. Most of them are not writing funny songs like this one to celebrate. Rather, they celebrate by accepting a Pulitzer or becoming the Bloggess.

I'm also a fan of Wil Wheaton. I loved his part in the last season.

The Guild sound a little familiar but I always forget things like band names and songs. Don't think I've heard anything new lately but at work the station playing is a weird mix of old and today but the today I've all heard before. Get songs like Manic Monday, old hilary duff song, Through Glass (love that song), and I swear I heard Over the Rainbow one night. lol; April 3, 2012 at 9:46 AM
